As we work on a new digital format for our weekly notices during the coronavirus outbreak, please find below the prayers for this week, any events and readings.

Collect for today:

Most merciful God,

who by the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ

delivered and saved the world:

grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross

we may triumph in the power of his victory;

through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you, Amen

Fareham Deanery Prayers –

We especially pray for all in every parish and the church who are supporting those with words and acts of kindness at this time of difficulty and uncertainty and worry for many.

We also continue to give thanks to God to help us to look beyond our present difficulties and towards the good world he gives us to live in and inspire us all in these uncertain times to remember with thankfulness the hope of the risen Christ brings to all those around us.

We pray for opportunities, confidence, and novel ways to share the joy and truth of our faith with those who don’t even know what it is they are searching for.

We pray for those who have family and friends suffering from the virus, and those who have already lost loved ones to it.

We pray for the sustaining peace of Christ for those who cannot honour their dead properly due to restrictions on numbers at all funerals.

We pray for those couples and families who have had weddings cancelled, or at least postponed, that God would meet them in their disappointments and bring them greater joy at the end of this.

Pray for the safety and endurance of all on the front line of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pray for those involved in the issues in previous news headlines that we’ve forgotten about in the past month.

for our Parish Portchester and Port Solent—We pray for everyone in our Parish during the Coronavirus outbreak.

for the world around us—for all as we learn to adjust to the drastic changes in our lives. That people will listen to the advice given and practice social distancing and self isolation to help stop the spread of the virus further. For those who have had and are recovering from Coronavirus and for the families of people who have died.

for those who are ill—Myrtle Edgar, Adrian Harvey, Hazel Bunker, Jean Baker, Keith Robbins, Lannon family (Jay, Blake and baby Rey), Derek Holland.

for those who have died—Peter Strong
