Church Finances (taken from St. Mary’s News #46)
The bad news is that our figures from January – April this year see us with a deficit of £5,000, but this is to be expected given the loss of income since lockdown. The good news is: we received over £6,000 back from the Government through Gift Aid, without which the deficit would be over £10,000 (Thank you to all who gift aid!), our donations have increased, and so far in May we have received over £2,000 in donations. The total income was £57,224 and the total expenditure £62,248. Several of you have also increased your regular giving. Thank you for your amazing generosity, which ensures that St Mary’s will survive the present crisis.
We have just added some new information onto our Donations Page regarding a new way of direct debit payments though the Parish Giving Scheme. Please take a look to see if this might work for you.
